Mrs. Martha Deanna Allen,81, passed away on January 9, 2026, at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Savannah, Ga, to the late G.P. and Martha Knight, and grew up in Port Wentworth, Ga. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church for 55 years, where she served in the Children's Ministry and the nursery. She loved old movies and music.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clarence Rayvon Allen(Rawhide), her brother, Dennis Knight, and her grandson, Tyler Allen. Surviving are her three daughters, Jeanne Hotaling (Sean) of Alabama, Lori Motley (Rick) of Oklahoma, and Tammy Lyell of Georgia; three grandchildren, Courtney Adler(Tyler), Kathryn Motley, and Richard Motley; four great-grandchildren, Xander, Aaron, Chloe, and Avaleigh.
Funeral Service: 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Bible Baptist Church.
A private burial will be held in Hillcrest Abbey West at a later date.
She was a sweet lady and will greatly be miss. Prayers for the family

A candle has been lit!
I am deeply saddened by the passing of such a sweet woman. Though I only served alongside Deanna for two short years, her dedication to our bbckids nursery was a beautiful testament to the "hands and feet" of the body of Christ in motion. Our nursery room will never feel quite the same without her gentle presence in her favorite rocker. On behalf of the church nursery, you have our deepest condolences. We are praying for your family's peace and comfort. May God Bless you all through this time of grief.
